Lead Pastor of The Light, Eric Maggio, has always had a passion for preaching the gospel, whenever and wherever possible, to reach people for Jesus.
Before pastoring The Light, Eric had planted several churches, including Church Without Walls, Church at the Beach MB and Church at the Beach IB which is currently celebrating its ninth year reaching people in Imperial Beach.
Here at The Light, Pastor Eric is actively involved in church revitalization, bringing in young families from the South Bay community. Over the last three years he has overseen a church redesign including everything from a complete church renovation, introducing a contemporary worship style, to a restructuring of the church outreach model. He is excited to see the ways in which God will use the church to be a light to the community and the nations.

Ruben, though his title alludes to a different role, has been affectionately nicknamed the "Mayor of Chula Vista."
His extensive list of relationships and resources throughout the city, along with his years of experience serving the community have proven to be an integral part of our desire to reach Chula Vista for Jesus.
Ruben founded Love Thy Neighbor, a non-profit organization that began with annual toy drives for Mexico, and has now expanded much of that focus to serve and love on both Mexico and Chula Vista, however possible.
